Children ages 3, 4, and 5 learn the basic concept of sharing God’s love with their family, their neighbors and people around the world. Activities include stories, role-playing, and creative art experiences. Many hands-on activities are planned to help these young children use what they are learning. All of our leaders are passionate and well-trained to help your child begin learning about sharing God’s love with others.
Children on Mission
Children in Grades 1-5 learn the importance of sharing God’s love and how they can be involved in local and global missions efforts. The children experience missions through a hands-on rotation model, taking part in art, cooking, drama/games, and mission projects in each of 4 units throughout the year. Each unit introduces the children to a different part of the world and to missionaries who are currently serving these areas. Many of these missionaries are people whom First Baptist members have visited and whose work they have seen first-hand through missions partnerships with the Alliance of Baptists and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. In addition to the rotating activities, children will have opportunities to hear guest speakers and participate in other special activities. Through the various activities offered throughout the year, children gain a greater understanding of and appreciation for God’s children who live around the globe and those who live in Greenville.
